CBL FAQ
I am going to sue the CBL if they do not remove my report!
The screenshots and videos containing evidence of hackers, cheaters, glitchers, etc are not stored on our servers. The only player information stored on our servers is that which is shown by Nexon on the player profile pages. We do not have access to personal information such as account passwords. Any non-Nexon employee who makes legal threats against the CBL will be Dunced.

Is the Community Ban List (CBL) affiliated with Nexon?
No, the CBL has no affiliation with Nexon. It is privately maintained by a group of people who desire to provide a useful tool for the legit gaming community and want to see cheaters both identified and punished as they deserve.

Why should I report someone on the CBL and at Nexon?
When a player is reported to the Community Ban List with decisive evidence, the report is entered into a database that is easily searchable. This allows anyone to determine whether an individual player or even a whole clan has a history of exploiting the game. When a report is made at the CBL website it generates forum code to make the reporting process at Nexon simple and easier for Nexon employees to read. Reporting a player at the CBL site allows us to keep track of the player and offenses and reporting to Nexon gives them the evidence needed to take appropriate action against the offender.

Someone told me the CBL automatically bans players, is this true?
The CBL does not ban players, but lists their status as either "dirty," meaning they have confirmed reports of either hacking, glitching, exploits, or a ToS Violation; or "clean," meaning they have no reports against them. Clans are automatically assigned "dirty" status if they have members who are confirmed as "dirty" themselves. Users are encouraged to make their own decisions when viewing reports and evidence to decide of someone should be considered a "cheater."

I see I have a Stats report, but I am still Clean.
The CBL does flag players whose stats are considered questionable (such as unusually high kill streak or headshot ratio) but these stat flags are only viewable under certain circumstances, and they do not affect a player's "clean" status. The information is obtained from the player profile at the Nexon site, and is not disputable. This information alone should not be used to decide if someone is a cheater. It is merely a heads-up that something is out of the ordinary. Please note that Delta server stats are not included in any stats flags, they are ignored.

What type of evidence is needed for someone to be added to the CBL?
To add someone merely for questionable stats, just search for their name! The report is automatically generated, and no other evidence is needed. To report a player for hacking, glitching, exploits, or ToS Violation you need to submit visual evidence. Video needs to be streaming from a source such as YouTube, and screenshots must be hosted online, at a site such as Photobucket. Any reports with evidence that requires a direct download will be voided. The evidence must clearly show the player's name and the offense. Any reports with inconclusive evidence will be voided--we want to be as accurate as possible! For more information on reporting, see the Guidelines page.

Does the CBL scan everyone's stats?
A player's stats are only scanned when the stats are viewed on the CBL Player Stats page, or if a report is made against that player or a clan mate.

When are stats flags viewable?
Any stats value, such as kill streak or headshot percent that is higher than the limit set by the CBL will be flagged. However, this flag is only visible under certain conditions: Stats flags are not visible if that player has no other confirmed reports against them. Stats flags are visible only if that player or another in the same clan have a confirmed report against them for glitching, hacking, exploits, or a ToS Violation. Stats flags are also visible if a player or another in the same clan has a high KDR or headshot percent stats flag, although the players and the clan do not receive a CBl Dirty status from this.

Does the CBL still track players who have been banned?
The CBL keeps every player report logged forever. If a player no longer exists on the Combat Arms website they will be hidden from view on the CBL. Should they return, they will be reinstated on the CBL listing. In other words, a player cannot have their account deleted by Nexon and then recreate it to get around the CBL listing.

I found a mistake in the CBL or I disagree with a report. How do I notify the admins?
We want to make sure every report is legitimate. If you see an error or think a report has been made in error please let us know. Click the red Dispute icon to the right under that report and fill in the information. You can add any comments you wish to make at that time concerning the report in question. This will help us investigate and determine if a mistake has been made. For further information on filing a dispute, please see the global thread in the forums titled "How To File A Dispute."

I have been banned or demoted and I want my account back!
Because the CBL is not affiliated with Nexon we can't help you get your account back. File a support ticket at the Nexon website, this is their outlined procedure.

Why are you calling me or my clan cheaters?
All we are doing at CBL is listing reports. It is not our desire to label anyone, only make information available to the community. If you or your clan have a CBL Dirty status you can view the reports and submitted evidence, and file a dispute if you disagree to the validity of the proof. Note that if a Dirty member is kicked from a clan that the CBL will automatically update itself within 24 hours, you do not need to notify us.

I have kicked the Dirty player from our clan, what do I have to do to get our Clean status back?
Since the CBL updates automatically within 24 hours, you don't have to do anything! If for some reason the update does not occur, then please post in the Bugs section of our forums, and someone will look into it promptly. Please do not dispute the report, as it will only be confirmed once again. If there are not other reports confirmed against any other clan members, any stats flags will also disappear at the time the clan shows up once again as Clean.

How do I verify my CBL player or clan sig?
Once logged in to the CBL a red X icon will be displayed next to your login name at the top. Click this icon to be taken to the verification form. Enter your player name, select Player in the drop down box, and press the button. Confirmation will then be displayed as to whether or not the verification was successful or what to do if it was not.
To verify your clan name go to the CBL Sig page. A link that says "Verify Player or Clan" will be near the top. Click this link to be taken to the verification form. Enter your clan name "exactly" as it appears in game including any punctuation and capitalization. Select Clan in the drop down and press the button.

I see someone on here that I know is a cheater but they are still CBL Clean!
The CBL is not a source to determine if someone is legit or not. All we are doing here is listing reports that have been made to us by the community. We can't list someone as dirty unless someone else reports them with the proper evidence!

I used to cheat or glitch, but now I am legit. How can I become CBL Clean?
There is no way to clean a dirty account. While there is visible proof when players break the rules, there is no real way to visibly prove they have had a change of heart. Being listed as CBL Dirty is a possible consequence of violating the game ToS. The only way to be certain to stay CBL Clean is to play on a clean account, and stay legit!

Can I get Team Viewed (TVed) by the CBL to prove I am legit?
The CBL does not offer Team Views to the public. We also do not accept evidence from Team View sessions. We do encourage the use of Team View within groups or clans to be sure their own members are clean.

I have a report on the CBL but it wasn't me playing at the time, can I get it removed?
Account security is your responsibility. We have no way of proving that the offense shown in the evidence was committed by someone else, therefore we cannot remove the report on someone's word alone. If your account was hijacked, we are truly sorry, but we have no way of proving that this is what happened.

Can my organization or group be affiliated with the CBL?
For affiliate information, please see the Affiliate Board in our forums. We also offer sponsorship packages which include free websites!

Can I recruit for my clan in your forums?
We have recently added a clan recruitment forum. Please read the rules for that board before posting.

Someone in the game told me they were a CBL Admin and that I was going to get banned. How can they do that?
CBL Staff members do not run around and threaten to ban other players. Only Nexon employees have this ability, and we are not affiliated with Nexon. CBL Staff members have the same opportunity as anyone else, to report a player both here and at Nexon that they think is abusing the game. If someone in the game says otherwise, they are not truly a member of the staff. Click the CBL Info button and then Staff to see a list of our current staff members.

Can I join the CBL Staff? How do I apply?
Please see the Help Wanted section in our forums for more information on how to join the CBL Staff. Please note that we accept applications only from time to time, when there is a position to fill. In general we only accept applicants over the age of 18, who are willing to be Team Viewed, and if they are in a clan it must be CBL Clean.
