What types of offenses can I report to the CBL? Only hacks, glitching, or exploits may be reported at this time with the appropriate proof. ToS violations in the form of alterations of the game files, such as missing textures, may also be reported as Exploit:Other. Issues such as player harassment and inappropriate language are for Nexon to handle and should be reported to them via support ticket.
Should I report a player's stats if they seem to indicate cheating? To create a stats report all you have to do is search for that player in the CBL. The report is automatically generated and the appropriate value is flagged as unusual. Please do not create a report in order to identify a player's stats as unusual. The CBL will do this automatically. A stats flag is not meant to indicate cheating, it merely serves as an alert to anyone viewing that player's profile that some value is out of the range that is considered normal. See the FAQ for more information on when a stats flag will be displayed.
Can I report the same player for more than one thing? Absolutely! You can even use the same evidence, if it proves more than one type of game exploit. Just keep in mind that the evidence will have to be sufficient for each report. Create a different report for each type of offense, we don't combine them.
What are the rules for submitting evidence?
- For screenshots it is suggested to use a free host such as Photobucket.
- TeamView evidence is not accepted. Contact a staff member and request for it to be removed if found in a previously confirmed report.
- Edited screenshots will be voided!
- Only visual proof of an offense can be accepted as evidence. Text instead of an image link is not considered proof. Screenshots of in-game chat also are not considered valid evidence. Screenshots of the Wall Of Shame at Nexon cannot be accepted. Screenshots of player profiles are unnecessary, if the values are out of the normal range a stats flag will be created. All such reports will be voided.
- Screenshots showing altered or missing game files, such as missing textures, cannot be used as evidence to report another player.
- All screenshots must be from your Combat Arms Folder. Images from Fraps or any other screenshot program will be voided. See the April 7th Forum Announcement for more information.
- Please submit full-sized screenshots. It is often difficult to determine the accuracy and validity of a report when the screenshot is too small, and in most cases this will cause the report to be voided.
- Video evidence must be uploaded to a streaming video host such as YouTube. Any evidence requiring a download will not be viewed and the report will be voided. Player names must be clear and able to be easily read. Only video evidence hosted by you will be accepted.
- Video evidence may use Youtube annotations. It can also use effects such as slow-motion and zooming to illustrate the offense, but please also include the unedited, full-sized, full-speed footage of the same instance.
- Videos consisting of screenshots only will not be accepted but video, as well as screenshot evidence (as seperate evidence) is acceptable.
- The video typically must be in HQ/HD quality to allow the player's name to be legible. If it doesn't have an HQ button at least, it's very unlikely to be accepted.
- Music is fine, only if the sound is muted/not recorded. It is much preferable to have the sound from ingame, even if it includes clan chatting as well. Also the in game sound is crucial for reports for chamming.
- For video intros, please make it short and sweet. Maybe a quick screenshot of their Combat Arms page and their name in a text overlay, but then cut to the chase. The less time it takes for us to see the cheat, the faster we can confirm a report.
- Please keep the videos to a minimal length. If it's a report against an OPKer or an aimbotter (or any other obvious cheat), please try to keep it only long enough so that we can see the cheat. After that point, we can confirm a report. Although, with chamming reports, make sure you have more time before and after each instance, because those are much more difficult to prove. With chamming reports, it is very helpful to have as much video evidence as possible, rather than less evidence.
- Exploits from the infamous SnowBall game mode will not be accepted. All other legitimate power leveling exploits will be confirmed.
- Ranked server exploits may be reported as Cheat:RNK. For more information, please review this thread in the forums.
- For guidelines on AFK Bot reports, please review this thread in the forums.
- When entering evidence please link directly to the image or the video rather than a forum post, or a link to the album. For help please see our Guide to Direct Links in the forums.
How do I report a player to the CBL?
- Click on the Report button. A window will open and you can enter the information in the form.
- Put the player name you are reporting.
- Choose the offense type being reported from the drop down list.
- ToS Violation reports such as missing textures should be reported as Exploit:Other.
- Officially reported? Choose whether or not you have reported this player to Nexon as well.
- Evidence. Enter direct image links to your proof.
- Contact. Enter your IGN and email so that we may contact you for further information if necessary. Your IGN and email are NOT visible to anyone but the admins and will not be used for any other purpose. We value your privacy.
- Click Submit.
- When the confirmation screen appears, please check all the information and links carefully. We cannot always correct errors in a report and end up having to void the report instead. Make sure the player name is accurate, and that the evidence links work. Then submit the report to the CBL.
Note: When you submit videos or screenshots as evidence you are agreeing that we can use the images or video to display as evidence with your report. We may rehost your image to guarantee availability.
